
Description
The Communities for Climate (C4C) pilot action is launched by the European Commission to support 50 community-led projects in eleven countries of the EU (Croatia, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania, Spain and Sweden) accompanying them in the realisation of new and innovative ideas for citizens engagement to address climate and sustainability issues. These lighthouse projects will serve as a replicable model for other local communities willing to engage in climate projects across the EU. The scope of this action covers the four following areas: renewable energy, sustainable water management, circular and resource-efficient economy, and biodiversity.

Eligibility criteria
Open to local communities committed to climate actions in the following areas: renewable energy, sustainable water management, circular and resource-efficient economy, regenerating biodiversity. The selected initiatives will be located in one of the eleven eligible EU countries: Croatia, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania, Spain, and Sweden.
