Athens Energy Portal is funded by ICLEI Action Fund Greece. Led by the National Technical University of Athens, this project supports municipal staff and residents with smart meters, AI-based tools, and maps energy-poor households for low-cost solutions. It aims to develop the Energy Poverty Alleviation Office into a center for energy advice and training, promoting renewable energy and aiding vulnerable households.
Expert Opinion

These funds are particularly well-suited to support energy communities led by or in partnership with eligible organizations, enabling them to address critical challenges such as energy poverty, renewable energy adoption, and sustainable mobility.
